A One Shot

Classes let out with the final bell.  Lotharia was so far behind in his studies and tasks.  It would be a miracle for him to get any good grades in his Freshman year.

But now was a time for relaxation.  Time to make some cookies for the Christmas party.  And by "make", he gets them from one of the cooking class students.

"Ahhh, macademia cookies and Peanut Butter cookies.  Lovita, you're going to spoil me!" he joked as he grabbed the pan of cookies and went back to his dorm room.

He got showered and dressed up into a nice sweater.  "Not too ugly, but just festive enough" He smiled at himself in the mirror.

He was fashionably late, by about ten minutes.  Good enough, he felt.

He ran into his spells teacher Sartana.  "You may want to slow it down, there....angel" Lotharia nervously grinned a little as he entered the party area.  Music was playing and different parts of the room held different activities.  The snack table enjoyed a large variety of treats an d a variety of eaters dominating the table.

He saw the teachers in one group, having a discussion on the merits of Tolkien, debating the Lord of the Rings trilogy with "The Hobbit".

Some of the students were doing a catchy dance near the band, "Shonen Knife" as they sang about Hot Chocolate.

The night was young, and Lotharia had a holiday's worth of energy and frustrations to work off.  He snuck a peanut butter cookie, spread his wings and glided over to Sophie and Jeanne.

They were putting the finishing touches on some bright decorations, and were having a pleasant conversation with a very cooperative, sentient pine tree that did not mind at all being the center of attention with its shiny tinsel and gorgeous decorative bulbs.

"I love Peanut butter cookies!  I must get the recipe!"  The Tree exclaimed.  Its name, or rather HIS name was Mohawn Bokkis, a pine straight out of the Black Forests of Germany, and special guest of the Moonstone festivities.

Lotharia smiled at Sophie as he helped decorate "You're looking nice today..." He blushed a little.  Sophie smiled back, but was not falling for his boyish charm "You're silly!  Thank you for helping though.  We wanted to have a nice traditional German theme for the party.  One of the Demons has agreed to appear as the Krampus and Harlow is dressed up as Kris Kindle....I think that's how you pronounce it."  She giggled.

Lotharia went from group to group and soaked up a night of good cheer, candy canes and talked to a group of elven students who were forming their own dental hygiene club.  They were still petitioning to be an official group, but Lotharia wished them well.  Good strong teeth were, after all, happy teeth.

The highlight of the evening, though, was fireworks outside in the snow.  Several groups of students sang some carols and hugged each other with warm fuzzies.  It was an excellent night to relax and get away from school stress.

Lotharia felt the joy that night, and enjoyed a couple more peanut butter cookies with his new friend Mohawn.....
