Droid VGR-001: Greater than the Sum of his parts

A nice rendering of my Droid OC, VGR-001.  Once just a small time officer in the service of the Trade Federation, the Clone Wars taught him the value of life, and duty to those he would call friends.   VGR worked as a General under OC Conradin Hadranus of Emerald Fleet.  He made sure his troops were well disciplined and above average.  Clones would call him the "Red Clanker".

VGR endured some defeats but also held his own against clones and Jedi during the Clone Wars, but his finest moments came during two fateful events.

At the battle of Drongar near the end of the war, VGR helped divert a disaster that almost wiped out Drongar.  He and his men were shut down when an explosion caused an EMP wave that turned off all the droids.  They were to be piled up on board the RSS Moenia and scrapped at the close of the war

When Order 66 was initiated, Conradin Hadranus and his faithful droid helper, R5D4, rebooted VGR and the droid troops while they were piled up on board the Moenia.  VGR helped take over the ship in an attempt to stop the Clones from completing Order 66 over the planet Felucia.  VGR-001 took command of the Moenia and set sail to parts unknown, away from the dead Republic that became a dark Empire

Trivia: I named him VGR as my homage to VGR from "Star Trek: The Motion Picture", the artificial life force that found sentience in  its journeys across space.
